“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
Roald Dahl
I have always been a daydreamer and growing up in the beautiful Nadder Valley in Wiltshire I was surrounded by stunning countryside to explore and a house full of animals. I started to draw and paint at a young age, creating portraits of our family pets or copying illustrations from wildlife books. I studied Illustration at the University of the West of England in Bristol gaining a 1st class degree and went on to work in community arts centres and rural touring theatre. Here I discovered a love of sharing my passion for creativity with others and an appreciation of the power that art can have to enrich lives. I have continued to work with community arts organisations in my local area helping to devise and facilitate exciting visual arts projects. I also love gardening and when not painting you will find me attempting to grow things at my allotment and learning as much as I can about horticulture.
I attempt to use my art to share a little of the immense beauty that I see in the world. We are all surrounded by millions of tiny miracles if you take the time to look closely enough.
